Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) sets out activities that are prohibited when using Fieldwork. It is incorporated into our Terms of Service. Violating this AUP may result in suspension or termination.

1. General prohibitions

• Breaking any applicable law or regulation, or infringing others’ rights.
• Uploading malware or attempting to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or its infrastructure.
• Reverse engineering, scraping, or circumventing rate limits or access controls except as expressly permitted.
• Misrepresenting your identity or impersonating any person or organization.
• Using the Service to harass, defame, or harm others.

2. Outbound communications & anti-spam

Fieldwork helps you send outreach. You are solely responsible for ensuring every message you send or schedule through the Service is lawful. You agree to:

• Comply with all applicable marketing and anti-spam laws, including the CAN-SPAM Act, Canada’s CASL, and the EU GDPR/ePrivacy rules, as applicable to your recipients.
• Send only to recipients you have a lawful basis to contact, and honor opt-out and unsubscribe requests promptly.
• Include accurate sender information and a functioning means to opt out where required.
• Not send unsolicited bulk messaging, deceptive subject lines, or content you are not authorized to send.

3. Data & privacy

• Only upload personal data (including prospect and Creator contact details) that you have the right and a lawful basis to process.
• Do not use the Service to build or sell standalone contact databases in violation of law or third-party terms.
• Respect confidentiality and the privacy rights of individuals.

4. Acceptable AI use

• Review AI-generated drafts, matches, and projections before acting on them.
• Do not use AI features to generate unlawful, deceptive, or abusive content.

5. Enforcement

We may investigate suspected violations and take action including removing content, throttling, suspending, or terminating access, and cooperating with law enforcement. We may act immediately where conduct poses a risk to the Service or others.
